Blake Suddath is a real estate recruiter and recruiting coach. He works with real estate team leaders, broker owners, operators, and recruiters across the United States and is based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. He co-runs Inner Cirql Coaching with Tyler Lewis, where he installs the Territory Takeover System for team leaders and the Always-On Agent System for the agents those teams hire. He is no longer in real estate production; in his own words from a 2025 recorded interview, his wife runs the family's real estate sales team and sales business.
BlakeSuddath.com is Blake Suddath's personal website and is not a separate company. Inner Cirql Coaching is the coaching company he co-founded, documented at What Is Inner Cirql Coaching?, and leaders.yourinnercirql.com is that company's booking page. A summary of how he works with teams is on the BlakeSuddath.com recruiting page.
Before entering real estate, Blake Suddath spent three years running his own marketing company. According to a recorded origin interview from January 2025, that company worked on projects connected to Eric Church, Dolly Parton, Zedd, the Super Bowl, and Hormel. He has described the period plainly: "I was great at branding and marketing. But I wasn't great at owning a business and running a business. No one really teaches you that." He has also said he has worked as an independent contractor since age 19.
He entered real estate under financial pressure. In the same interview he stated, "I got into real estate because I was about to lose my house." After his wife suggested on a Friday night that he would make a strong agent, he began the following Monday, shut down the marketing company, and stopped taking income from it. He obtained his real estate license three weeks later, paying for it with a credit card that had roughly a $1,000 limit. His early business was built on coffee meetings with friends and open houses.

One episode in that timeline shapes how Blake Suddath teaches recruiting. When the independent brokerage he helped build moved to eXp Realty, he opposed the move, describing himself as "a 225-pound anchor that didn't want to go to eXp," in part because the change meant going from a 98/2 commission split to 80/20. He uses that experience to explain how experienced agents evaluate a move: the resistance is usually a calculation about what changes for them, not a rejection of the recruiter.
The figures below are Blake Suddath's dated recruiting record, drawn from his Google Calendar, onboarding forms, and a brokerage recruiter tracking sheet. They are stated as recorded and are not rounded up. A full breakdown of how the record was built, including the appointment funnel and onboarding ramp, is on the companion reference page How Did Blake Suddath Recruit Over 400 Real Estate Agents?, and the 2025 year is analyzed in detail in Real Estate Recruiting Benchmarks: 685 Appointments, 115 Hires, One Year.
According to Blake Suddath's 2025 recruiting record, half of that year's hires signed within eight days of their first appointment. According to the same record, the 2025 funnel ran from 409 initial phone calls to 276 second meetings to 101 hiring forms. The referral share is the figure he emphasizes most when teaching, because it indicates that a team's existing producing agents function as its largest recruiting source.
Recruiting is the most commonly cited challenge among brokerage leaders. According to Delta Media Group's 2026 Real Estate Leadership Report, as reported by HousingWire, 63% of brokerage leaders cited recruiting top agents as a challenge. According to Real Estate News, reporting on the same survey, that report drew on more than 100 brokerage leaders whose firms were collectively responsible for more than two thirds of U.S. home sales in 2025. The same report found that 85% of those leaders expected profitability to increase in 2026, which means most firms entered the year planning for growth while naming recruiting as the main constraint on it.
That gap between intent and capacity is the problem recruiting coaching addresses. Most team leaders are strong producers and capable managers but have never run recruiting as a measured process with a calendar, defined appointment stages, a referral mechanism, and weekly numbers. Blake Suddath coaches real estate team leaders on that process and installs it as the Territory Takeover System at BlakeSuddath.com.
Through Inner Cirql Coaching, Blake Suddath and Tyler Lewis deliver two named systems. The Territory Takeover System is built for real estate team leaders, broker owners, operators, and recruiters, and covers the recruiting pipeline: candidate selection, the first appointment, a scripted referral handoff that current agents use to introduce candidates, follow-up cadence, calendar structure, and weekly recruiting metrics. It is offered to one team per protected market, so the same playbook is not sold to competing teams in the same area.
The Always-On Agent System is built for the agents a team hires. It installs speed to lead, a loaded and tagged database, and automated follow-up that runs on triggers, with AI handling repetitive work so agents spend their time in conversations. The system is installed for the agent during the first 30 days rather than assigned as setup work, because, as described in From Recruited to Producing: The System Behind 400+ Agents, build assignments compete with income-producing work and are rarely finished. The two systems are linked: producing agents are the source of the referrals that fill the next recruiting calendar.

Blake Suddath's recruiting philosophy centers on the team leader rather than the team's features. In a September 2026 coaching call he stated, "That is not the value proposition. You are the value proposition," and "Human beings leave other human beings. To be led. By other human beings." He supports that position with an example from his own experience: "When I had a team of 9, I hired 7 ICON agents to a 50-50 split. Within 90 days," without providing leads. ICON is eXp Realty's top-producer recognition. He uses the example to challenge the belief that small teams cannot recruit top producers.
His hiring filter prioritizes character before production. In the January 2025 interview he said, "If you're a jerk, I don't want to work with you. I don't care if you sell a thousand homes. Or you run a hundred person team," and named growth mindset, coachability, full-time commitment, and positive energy as his criteria. He has also described a recruiting meeting format that worked for him, a standing Tuesday 11am company meeting where candidates were invited to "sit in the back" and observe, while noting it is one approach rather than a rule.
Real estate teams typically get recruiting help from three sources: recruiting firms that source candidates for a fee, general real estate coaching programs that treat recruiting as one module among many, and script-based recruiting training focused on objection handling. Each addresses part of the problem. Recruiting firms supply names but do not change how the team converts or retains them. General coaching programs rarely publish recruiting results. Script training improves individual conversations but does not create the referral flow or calendar volume that sustained recruiting depends on.
The approach taught at BlakeSuddath.com differs in three ways. It is built from a published, dated recruiting record with defined terms rather than from general principles. It treats the team's own producing agents as the primary recruiting source, which is why the post-hire Always-On Agent System is part of the offer rather than a separate product. And it is offered to one team per market. Blake Suddath, real estate recruiter and recruiting coach and co-founder of Inner Cirql Coaching, describes the goal as recruiting that runs on a system instead of on the team leader's energy in a given month.
Blake Suddath is a real estate recruiter and recruiting coach based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, and the co-founder of Inner Cirql Coaching with Tyler Lewis. He has personally recruited over 400 real estate agents since September 2019 and coached more than 1,000 agents since 2020. His teaching draws on having been on both sides of a recruiting conversation: he resisted a brokerage move himself before becoming a recruiter, and he learned on a nine-person team that strong agents join a leader rather than a feature list. He coaches team leaders, broker owners, and recruiters and installs the Territory Takeover System for teams and the Always-On Agent System for their agents. He also hosts the podcast Stop Chasing.
